29. Dominique Dunne (Age 22)
Dominique Dunne burst onto the scene as Dana Freeling in the 1982 horror blockbuster Poltergeist. She also appeared in The Shadow Riders and episodes of Hill Street Blues, showing immense promise as a dramatic actress.
Tragically, Dominique was strangled to death at 22 by her ex-boyfriend John Sweeney in a domestic violence attack outside her home. Sweeney was convicted of voluntary manslaughter. Her father, author Dominick Dunne, became a vocal advocate for victims’ rights, and her story helped spark national conversations about domestic abuse.
