#10 Bernard Coyne – 8 ft 4 in (254 cm), United States

Bernard Coyne from Iowa reached possibly 8 ft 4 in by his death in 1921 at age 23. His World War I draft card listed 8 ft, but later measurements showed continued growth due to gigantism.
Coyne worked briefly in circuses and sideshows. His short life was filled with health complications typical of untreated pituitary disorders. He is remembered as one of the tallest Americans of his era.
