Getting Back with an Agency
Reentering the agency world after a six-year break was both exciting and nerve-wracking for Jaqi. The modeling industry had evolved, and her daughters were no longer babies but growing girls with distinct personalities. Still, Jaqi remained hopeful that this fresh start could open up new opportunities. She reached out to her former contacts, unsure of what to expect after such a long hiatus.
“I still had a handful of contacts, so I decided to start there,” she shared. “To my surprise, I heard back from almost every single one asking to set up a time to meet the girls.” Though they ended up signing with two agencies and the excitement was palpable, a complication was just around the corner.
