Basement Relics
As Mandy opened the box, she found what looked like old papers. They were yellowed from being there for a while, but she shined her flashlight on them and found what appeared to be recipes. The other papers were similar. It must have been where the previous owners stored their recipes when they still owned the house.

From the looks of it, the couple determined that the hatch wasn’t a door leading to a basement, but actually a spot where there was a pantry. It seemed like a quirky feature, but it was an old house after all.
