Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire

When you hear the phrase “out of the frying pan, into the fire,” fantasy fans might immediately think of Tolkien’s *The Hobbit*. It’s a phrase that, in the story predating *The Lord of the Rings* trilogy, might remind one of Frodo and Sam tossing the One Ring into Mount Doom. In the real world, however, entering a volcano is next to impossible. Fortunately, technology has advanced, giving us safer and more convenient ways to capture that scenery.

Thanks to large investments and innovative equipment, drones can now capture photos and videos from angles that were previously difficult to achieve. For example, drone footage of an Icelandic volcano’s crater showcases this incredible technological advancement.
