Hidden Surveillance

Mark installed hidden cameras around the house and placed a voice recorder next to the landline. It felt like a betrayal, but he convinced himself it was necessary. With every recording, he hoped to catch a slip of truth. He spent long nights reviewing hours of footage and audio, straining to hear whispered conversations or detect any suspicious movements.

Though the recordings offered little at first, Mark was relentless. Every cough, every pause, every coded phrase became something worth dissecting. The more he listened, the more obsessed he became. Surveillance became his new reality. He no longer recognized the man in the mirror—he had become a ghost in his own home, watching, waiting, unraveling a mystery that refused to reveal itself.
