Dubai Under Lockdown
Dubai is one of the most vibrant cities in the world, but the health crisis brought its hustle and bustle to a standstill. An unimaginable sight emerged: roads completely devoid of cars. Photographer Bachir Moukarzel, who has been doing aerial photography since 2014, documented this bizarre situation as “The Lockdown Dubai.”
In these photos, highways and major roads are deserted, resembling an abandoned city. Now that the city has reopened and restrictions have eased, we likely won’t see such scenes again. The silence captured by the drone symbolizes a historic moment.
