Air Force One Facts

Did you know there was a time when Air Force One was actually a spy plane? Considering it’s pretty much known as the President’s personal jet, it might not make a whole lotta sense, but it’s true. CIA Director Allen Dulles from back in the Cold War era was the guy behind this transformation, and there’s not even proof the President okayed the move.

So what’d they do to make it spy-worthy? They stuck cameras on the plane’s wheels. Real powerful cameras, with the ability to read license plates from 29,000 feet up in the air.
