Rottweilers, or Rotties as some folks call ’em, are known for their size and their knack for herding cattle. Their natural courage and loyalty to their owners often make them protective, which can be intimidating to strangers and sometimes lead to aggressive behavior.

While they can get along with kids, it’s important to keep a close eye on their interactions, ’cause a Rottweiler might misinterpret rough play as a real threat.
