無毛犬/索羅犬(Xoloitzcuintli)
The Xoloitzcuintli (pronounced “show-low-eats-QUEENT-lee,” and often shortened to Xolo or “Mexican Hairless Dog”) is an ancient breed that was revered by the Aztecs as spiritual companions to guide souls into the underworld. Known as the “dog of the gods,” the Xolo is both an alert guardian and an extremely loyal companion. With their resilient, smooth skin and keen intelligence, they are a truly unique breed.
However, this deep loyalty can also manifest as excessive territoriality and protectiveness. The Xolo’s mysterious and aloof appearance can be intimidating, but with proper training, they can be very stable.
Experts generally recommend this breed only for experienced owners, as it requires a high level of consistent training from a young age.
