Basenji
The Basenji is a natural-born hunter, known for its intelligence and independence. While they can be deeply affectionate with their owners, they often become anxious or reserved around unfamiliar people. Training a Basenji can be quite challenging due to their strong-willed nature, which makes full domestication more difficult than with other breeds.
This stubborn streak can also affect how they interact with children, especially if the dog hasn’t been properly socialized from an early age. Without consistent training and supervision, they may not be the most reliable companions for young kids.
