Clowns and Mazes
When it comes to things people dislike, clowns often come to mind. Although clowns are characters created for children, there are actually quite a few kids who experience a fear known as coulrophobia, or the fear of clowns. In the photo below, a clown appears in the middle of a field in Huntsville, Alabama. It might feel like there’s nowhere to escape, and you’re being cornered by the clown.
In 2016, there were numerous reports of creepy clowns being spotted in several areas of the United States. At the time, there was no evidence that these clowns actually attacked children, and it was considered just a hoax, but many people claimed to have “seen scary clowns in unlikely places.” Panic spread, and people began to believe they saw “clowns” even where there were none, resulting in more people installing the latest home security systems.
