Giants of the Sea
The world is full of fascinating wildlife. This time, we’re spotlighting the humpback whale, a particularly remarkable marine creature. Humpback whales can reach lengths of up to 60 feet (18.3 meters), weigh 80,000 pounds, and live for as long as 90 years.
What’s more, male humpback whales have the incredible ability to sing melodies that can travel up to 20 miles. However, encountering these magnificent creatures during a voyage isn’t always a given. Even so, some lucky whale watchers have managed to capture the moment. Photographer Tobias Hägg is one such individual, using drones to beautifully capture the partially submerged figures of humpback whales.
