Langkawi Sky Bridge (Malaysia)
The Langkawi Sky Bridge is located on Langkawi Island, a resort island in Malaysia. This relatively new bridge, built in 2005, lives up to its name as it’s suspended in the air. The bridge is 125 meters long and stretches across mountaintops at an altitude of 660 meters above sea level. To cross this bridge, you first need to take a cable car. The cable car, which accommodates six people, ascends almost vertically up a cliff during the latter half of the ride.
By the way, the floor of the cable car is made of glass, so it’s already scary at this point. Once you reach the summit station, you can walk or take a ride called SkyGlide to get to the bridge. When you arrive at the Sky Bridge, another point of terror appears. The height of the bridge is a given, but the strong winds that rage through are its most notable feature. Therefore, it’s best to leave behind anything that might be blown away, such as hats. Lightweight people should also be careful!
