The Ghasa Suspension Bridge in Nepal is undeniably breathtaking. Located near the village of Ghasa, this bridge isn’t just for people; it’s also used to transport cattle. Cattle have historically been a primary source of livelihood for the local people. The bridge was built because of the large number of cattle.
Before its construction, herds of animals would congregate within the village, occupying the narrow mountain paths. Now, hundreds of shepherds and cattle freely cross this bridge to reach pastures. The bridge is narrow and looks quite unstable in strong winds. However, it’s equipped with high handrails, making it safe to use.
