The Titanic Prediction
14 years before the sinking of the Titanic, Morgan Robertson wrote the novel “Futility,” in which a massive ship called the “Titan” collides with an iceberg in the North Atlantic and sinks. The parallels to the real event are so numerous that many believe it’s a prophecy.
Like the Titanic, the fictional Titan was described as unsinkable, had too few lifeboats, and sank in April. When the Titanic actually sank in 1912, the book was re-released—sending chills down spines around the world.
