Basenji


Basenjis are natural-born hunters known for their intelligence and independence. While deeply affectionate with their owners, they can be wary or aloof with strangers. Their stubbornness often makes training a challenge, and they aren’t as easily domesticated as some other breeds.

This stubborn streak can also affect their interactions with children, especially if they haven’t been socialized from a young age. Without consistent training and supervision, they may not be the best companions for toddlers.
