Ghasa Suspension Bridge (Nepal)

The Ghasa Suspension Bridge, near the village of Ghasa in Nepal, is renowned for its breathtaking beauty. This bridge isn’t just for people; it’s also used to transport cattle. For many years, cattle have been the primary source of livelihood for the local residents, and as their numbers increased, this bridge was constructed.

Previously, animals would crowd the mountain paths, but now, hundreds of cows and sheep freely use this bridge to travel to and from pasture. The bridge is relatively narrow, and you might feel a bit unsteady when strong winds blow, but it’s safe to cross thanks to the high handrails. Crossing this bridge is a familiar sight for the people of Nepal and is loved by many. However, not every traveler has the courage to cross this bridge.
