Dog Adjusts Smart Thermostat for Comfort
A security camera caught a Golden Retriever in Chicago standing on the back of a couch to reach a wall-mounted smart thermostat. He then pawed at the screen several times before the temperature adjusted two degrees cooler. The family realized their pup had been cooling the room during hot afternoons.
The best part? The dog only did it when no one else was home. It became a routine—when left alone, the pup would chill the house and then nap in front of the vent. Fans online joked that the dog probably has a Netflix queue too, and dubbed him “HVAC Hound.”
