Tater Mitts
These “revolutionary” gloves promised to peel potatoes without a peeler. Just put them on, run the spuds under water, and rub like crazy. The abrasive palms were supposed to strip skins instantly while keeping your hands clean.
What they really did was scrape a little bit of skin—on both the potatoandyour knuckles. Reviews described the mitts as ineffective, painful, and messier than a traditional peeler. Unless your goal was to exfoliate your hands while destroying potatoes, this was a kitchen flop.
