The Jumping Stilts

In an attempt to make jumping exercises more effective, these metal stilts strapped to your legs allowed you to bounce higher. They were meant to enhance cardio and leg strength through exaggerated jumps.

The reality? Users often lost balance, resulting in painful falls and broken bones. The stilts were heavy, awkward, and difficult to control. Due to frequent injuries, they were banned from gyms and playgrounds alike. Nowadays, similar devices exist but are much safer and more controlled.
