Snacktime Cabbage Patch Kid

This 1990s doll was designed to “eat” plastic snacks, featuring motorized jaws that chewed on the toys fed to it. However, the doll malfunctioned frequently and started biting kids’ fingers and hair. Worse, the jaws had no off switch, so once it latched on, it wouldn’t let go easily.

Several children suffered hair loss and finger injuries, prompting lawsuits and recalls. What was meant to be a cute, interactive toy turned into a nightmarish “hair-chewing monster.” Its aggressive appetite makes Snacktime Kid one of the most notorious “dangerous” toys ever sold.
