The Lotus Temple
This amazing aerial image captures the full grandeur of the Lotus Temple in New Delhi, India. Designed by Iranian-American architect Fariborz Sahba, the temple is shaped like a blossoming lotus flower and surrounded by nine pools and peaceful gardens. Completed in 1986, it is a spiritual sanctuary for people of all faiths and attracts more than 3.5 million visitors every year. From above, the harmony and beauty of its design are even more evident.
The temple’s symmetrical layout and serene surroundings create a visual representation of purity and unity. Seen from the sky, the architectural brilliance shines even more clearly, resembling a natural bloom amidst the urban landscape. It’s not only a place of worship but also a symbol of elegance and universal connection—an inspiring reminder of how design and meaning can come together beautifully.
