Capris & High-Water Pants
Capris and high-water pants were once considered a breezy option for summer, but fashion has moved on from these awkward cuts. These in-between lengths often cut off at the wrong spot on the leg, making it look shorter and wider than it really is. They’re rarely flattering and can give off a frumpy, dated vibe, particularly when worn in conservative colors or fabrics.
It’s understandable that people want more coverage as they age, but there are better alternatives. Choose cropped pants with a tailored fit or light summer trousers with a flattering ankle cut. You can stay cool, stylish, and age-appropriate without falling back on the “safe but aging” choice. Comfort doesn’t need to come at the expense of fashion.
