The generous act of a sister sharing her Coca-Cola with her sibling perfectly captures the essence of that sentiment. Coca-Cola, the iconic soft drink, made its public debut on May 8, 1886, thanks to the curious pharmacist Dr. John S. Pemberton from Atlanta.
While Dr. Pemberton is credited with creating this uniquely flavored beverage, the credit for naming it “Coca-Cola” and designing the trademarked typeface still used today goes to his bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson.
