Preparing for the Mission
In a small, low-lit room at the station, Melissa was introduced to the surveillance equipment she’d be wearing. A technician carefully fitted her with a small microphone hidden inside her clothing and a nearly invisible earpiece. Every movement had to look natural; there could be no room for error once she stepped in.
“You’ll be able to hear us, and we’ll monitor everything you say,” the technician assured her. Melissa nodded, the gravity of the setup making everything feel real. Fear mixed with adrenaline in her chest, but she stood still and focused. The moment of truth was drawing closer, and she needed to be ready.
