Seeking Reassurance
Driven by anxiety, the father finally decided to speak up. He approached one of the nurses from the delivery day and cautiously shared his concerns. “There are some things that don’t quite add up,” he began, unsure of how he’d be received.
The nurse offered a warm smile and calming words, explaining that every newborn is different. Even the doctor echoed this reassurance. But the father left the conversation more unsettled than comforted—his instincts told him there was more beneath the surface.
