Cats are geniuses of caprice. They approach you acting like they want to be petted, purring and acting sweet, but… the moment you pick them up, they give you this look. As if to say, “Ew, don’t touch me.” What on earth did they want?
Maybe this is one of the cat’s little “toxic habits.” Acting like they want to be held, but then saying “Stop it!” once you actually pick them up. It’s that fickle behavior that makes cats such amusing creatures.
