Investment culture basically does the same thing. If you don’t invest, but can’t make ends meet, you COULD have been extremely wealthy had you played the game. Investment bros feel like the pinnacle of “I’m better than you for reasons”.

Identity politics. It’s cool for anyone to be what they want, but the moment it becomes a moral imperative to determine a persons privilege and having that gauge their worthiness for respect or value… or when you’re so fixated on being on “the right side of history” that “rightness” of every little thing people do and say becomes king to you…. That is bs.

Kinda feel that way about the morality wars between the absolutists of the left and the right, but that’s a conversation for another time.
