She made an indelible mark on acting as Princess Leia in the sci-fi film Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, alongside Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. Before being cast in the role, Fisher had to lose 10 pounds. She was also nominated four times for a Saturn Award for her Star Wars role.
