Marienbrücke (also known as Mary’s Bridge) is renowned as the perfect spot for capturing stunning views of Neuschwanstein Castle. Be aware that the hike to the bridge takes about 45 minutes and requires a moderate level of fitness.
This bridge was designed by Heinrich Gottfried Gerber and constructed in 1866. He was known for his innovative cantilever bridge designs, and the Marienbrücke is a prime example. To this day, its historical integrity has been maintained, with the original arches, railings, and builder’s commemorative plaque preserved.
