26. The Cigar-Holding Baby Bottle

In the 1950s, some genius decided to combine two incompatible things: baby bottles and cigars. The “Cigar Baby Bottle” had a milk container shaped exactly like a cigar, presumably so dads could feel manlier while bottle-feeding. Because what screams masculinity like baby formula?

Mothers were horrified. Pediatricians were speechless. Babies, unsurprisingly, didn’t care—until they choked on the awkward design. The product didn’t last long but lives on in vintage catalogs as a shining example of design failure. Freud would’ve had a field day with this one.
