The Postcard from the Past
A postcard from 1910 was finally delivered in 2020 – due to a bizarre postal error. The recipient had long since passed away, but the address still existed. The current residents were stunned by the message from another era.
The card reported on the construction of the Eiffel Tower and contained affectionate greetings from Paris. The story went viral. Historians were able to identify the sender – a young soldier before the war. For the recipients, it was as if a ghost had briefly said “Hello.”
