Marienbrücke (Germany)

Marienbrücke (aka Queen Mary’s Bridge) is known as a prime spot for amazing views of Neuschwanstein Castle. This footbridge offers stunning perspectives of the castle, drawing many tourists. Be aware that the hike to the bridge takes about 45 minutes and requires a bit of physical effort.
This bridge was designed by Heinrich Gottfried Gerber and built in 1866. He was known for his modern cantilever bridge designs, and Marienbrücke is a perfect example. To this day, its historical integrity has been maintained, with the original arches, railings, and builder’s commemorative plaque preserved.
