The Immortal Bridge (China)
The Immortal Bridge, located in the Huangshan Mountains in eastern China, is renowned for both its beauty and its height. This bridge is made of stone, and while there’s no real danger of falling, crossing it definitely requires a good amount of courage. The name “Immortal Bridge” reflects the hope and desire for its perpetuity.
Until 1987, there was no bridge in this location, and people had to traverse a very difficult path, resulting in many losing their lives along the way. The construction of the Immortal Bridge made it possible to cross safely, and the area is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. While offering stunning views, those with a fear of heights should be cautious.
