Back in the 1700s, bold and dramatic eyebrows were all the rage – but eyebrow pencils weren’t a thing yet. So, many women would resort to using little bits of skin, and get this, they were often from mice. They’d literally glue these onto their faces to give the illusion of having thick, flawless brows.

What was once considered chic and fashionable now just seems plain gross. But back then, mouse-skin eyebrows were totally a fashion statement. Just another example of how far folks have gone for beauty – no matter how bizarre it might seem to us today.
