Nicole seemed great
Before officially hiring the caregiver, Michael and Loretta made sure to meet her in person. Nicole seemed perfect—she had glowing references, a kind demeanor, and years of experience caring for elderly clients. Everything about her appeared trustworthy, and they were relieved to finally have some extra support for Cathy.
At first, things seemed to be going well. Cathy told Michael she liked Nicole and appreciated the help with chores and getting around. Michael felt comforted by her words and believed they had made the right decision. But that peace of mind was short-lived. The next time he visited, something was terribly wrong again.
