Cat Sets Off Smart Pet Feeder Early
A fluffy British Shorthair in London named Oliver figured out how to trick his automatic pet feeder. The feeder was voice-activated and also had a button for manual release. Oliver learned to trigger the manual release by pressing it with his chin, then pretending he hadn’t eaten at all.
When his owners finally checked the footage, they saw him repeatedly “fake-starving” after stealth feedings. One video shows him eating a full serving, waiting 10 minutes, then meowing dramatically by the empty bowl. Internet users hailed him as the “Oscar-winning manipulator of the feline world.”
