The following morning, over a quiet breakfast, Michael and Loretta revisited the troubling events. Michael laid it all out—the repeated bruises, the strange silences, the uneasy feeling he couldn’t shake. “Something’s off, Loretta. This just doesn’t add up,” he said as he stared down at his coffee.
