African Buffalo (Cape Buffalo)
The African buffalo is a wild animal far more aggressive than its appearance suggests, earning it the nickname “Black Death.” Weighing up to a ton, its powerful horns and charging force are capable of driving off even lions. It is considered one of the most dangerous animals on safari.
Particularly terrifying are its strong territorial instincts and vengefulness. There have been reports of buffalo not only injuring humans but returning to finish them off. It’s said to claim over 200 lives annually, giving no quarter once eye contact is made.
