
In 1990, ABC introduced “Cop Rock,” an ambitious fusion of police procedural and musical drama. Created by Steven Bochco, the series depicted the lives of Los Angeles police officers, interspersing traditional crime narratives with original musical numbers.
Despite its innovative approach, “Cop Rock” struggled to find an audience and was canceled after just 11 episodes. Its unconventional blend of genres led TV Guide to rank it eighth on its list of the “50 Worst TV Shows of All Time” in 2002.
