The team’s inspection soon led to a grim discovery: a full-blown rat colony nestled beneath Martha’s house. “You’ve got a serious infestation,” the lead technician said, his face grim. Martha’s knees nearly buckled. “How many are we talking?” she asked, barely able to speak. “Hard to say, but definitely more than a dozen,” he replied. “We’ll take care of it, though.”
They began placing traps and deploying industrial-grade repellents. Equipment buzzed and clicked as the team worked with practiced urgency.
