A Trip to the Library
The next morning, driven by determination, Jake headed to the local library. The moment he stepped inside, the familiar musty scent of aging paper surrounded him, grounding him in purpose.
He approached the librarian’s desk. “I’m looking for records of missing families—something from around thirty years ago,” he said.
The librarian nodded with understanding and led him to a back section filled with archives and dusty microfilm reels. Jake thanked her and dove into the search, hoping for any lead that might shed light on the mystery.
