Eventually, Jake gave a frustrated shake of his head. “No… I don’t recognize them,” he admitted, his voice low and uncertain. He hated saying it out loud.
Harris gave a slow nod, though his expression stayed serious. “That’s alright, Jake. These things can take time.”
Though disappointed, Jake knew this wasn’t the end—just another step in a much longer journey. Something inside him urged him not to give up.
