Women Drank Solutions with Dried Beaver Testicles for Contraception
In the 16th century, birth control methods were as strange as they were unpleasant. One “solution” involved drinking a concoction of alcohol and powdered beaver testicles. Women hoped this would prevent pregnancy.
As unbelievable as it sounds, it was taken seriously back then. Thankfully, science has made enormous progress – all without rodent parts.
