A Gradual Decline

Initially, it all seemed like a natural part of aging. Grandma Cathy had started slowing down, and mobility was becoming a challenge. At first, she used a cane around the house and upgraded to a walker when going out. It was hard to watch, but manageable.

Eventually, even that wasn’t enough. Cathy had to transition to a wheelchair for daily life. Though she tried to act like it didn’t bother her, Michael could tell it hurt her pride. Still, she kept her spirits up and tried to maintain as much independence as possible despite the change.
