Emma Hack is an Adelaide-based artist renowned for her seamless integration of body paint with background patterns. Her paintings are so masterfully executed that they blend the person’s body into the backdrop, making them virtually disappear into the wall. She developed her signature style in the early 2000s, drawing inspiration from the Florence Broadhurst wallpapers.

She gained widespread recognition for her collaboration with Australian singer Gotye on his hit song “Somebody That You Used To Know.” In the music video, the Grammy Award winners are painted to perfectly match a geometric wall of color blocks.
