Cold Distance Between Siblings
Instead of embracing his new role, the boy grew distant. He stayed in his room, played outside, and avoided the baby entirely. His mother tried to coax him closer, asking gently, “Aren’t you curious about your sister?”
His response was short and firm: “That’s not my sister.” The father, overhearing it again, felt his chest tighten. Why was their usually affectionate child reacting so strongly? His doubt only grew stronger.
