My Reflection Winked at Me

In Alabama, a woman phoned 911 insisting that her mirror was “possessed.” She claimed her reflection “winked first,” then moved slightly out of sync with her actual motion. She feared it was a “parallel self trying to escape.”

The responding officer found nothing unusual—except for the fact that the mirror was mounted slightly off-angle near a flickering light bulb. He politely suggested a nap. She still covered the mirror with a blanket for “safety.”
