The First Taco Bell? It’s Just Chillin’ in a Parking Lot
Believe it or not, the original Taco Bell building — yep, the very first one — is currently just sitting in a parking lot behind company HQ like a fast-food time traveler with nowhere to go.
Built in 1962, this tiny taco temple was saved from demolition and gently plopped behind corporate like, “Hey, remember me?” No drive-thru, no touchscreen ordering, just pure crunchy-shell nostalgia and vintage charm. It’s part monument, part taco-loving ghost, and all legend. If buildings had feelings, this one would be asking, “So… am I ever getting a dining room again?” 🌮💁♂️
